Letter from President Evans 10.09.18 { Arrived in New York Rochester Mission }

Hi Everyone,

Christian arrived in New York! 

We got this email from his mission president and a great pic. 

We wanted to let you know that your wonderful missionary has safely arrived in New York. We got them off the plane and went street contacting in Downtown Rochester. Each of them was awesome. It was impressive. We came back to the mission home and fed them dinner, had a short meeting and put them to bed (they are all tired from a  long travel day).  They will get up tomorrow morning at 6:30, get ready for the day and we will have breakfast for them. We will then head to the Mission Office for a short logistical meeting that covers driving, health, housing and finances.  After this meeting we will take them to the Sacred Grove (what a great way to start your mission)!  After that experience we will head back to the Mission Office where they will meet their new companion and they then will head to their new area with a sack lunch in hand.  They will be out teaching the gospel by early afternoon. They will write to you on preparation day, which is Monday.  Sister Evans and I are so impressed with these 3 faithful Elders who are filled with love and desire. We promise to do all in our power to watch over them and to help them to continue to grow spiritually.  If you have questions or concerns please do not hesitate to reach out to me.  Thank you for sending this wonderful young man out on a mission.
